However, there is one problem when it comes to cookies, and that is the fact that if they get stale, they don’t end up tasting nearly as good as they would have if you had served them fresh. There is just something else entirely about fresh cookies, and one of the primary aspects of the freshness of these cookies is the fact that they are so crispy, so if you want to keep your cookies fresh for as long as possible, essentially you want them to stay crispy for an extended period of time.

How To Keep Cookies Crisp With This Simple Technique
The first thing you need to do is figure out what items you are going to need. The tools that you use are going to play an essential role in whether or not your efforts are going to be fruitful or not. To start off with, get yourself an airtight container that you are going to put your cookies in. The airtight container in and of itself is going to be a great tool that you can use on its own, but there are a bunch of other things you are going to need to make the process as efficient as possible.
Along with the aforementioned airtight container, you are going to need some baking soda as well. A coffee filter is also necessary to supplement the job that the baking soda is going to be doing. The final tool you are going to need is a stapler which will be used to hold it all together.
Now that you know what tools you are going to require, you need to know what they are meant for. The baking soda is basically a great substance that would allow you to keep the inside of your airtight container as dry as possible by absorbing the moisture that is present within said container. You will be keeping the baking soda inside the coffee filter, which would allow for optimal air circulation because it has pores in its outer layer that would enable air to enter.
Basically, you are going to have to fill up a coffee filter with about two or three tablespoons of baking soda. Make sure that it is fresh because stale baking soda already has a fair amount of moisture in it and would not be quite as good at getting the job done as fresh baking soda which would be completely dry. Use the stapler to seal the coffee filter shut while ensuring that a fair amount of air enters the coffee filter.
Next, you need to get your cookies into optimal storage mode before you actually end up storing them inside the airtight container. What this means is that you need to ensure that they are not piping hot. Otherwise, a lot of steam would escape them, and the baking powder is going to become ineffective earlier than it is supposed to. Cooled cookies are still going to be slightly warm, and they are going to stay fresh for a far longer time than would have been the case otherwise.
Once your coffee filter is full of baking powder and is stapled up, the next thing that you are going to have to do is place it in an airtight container. Place the cookies in there as well, and they are going to stay crispy for 24 hours without fail!

Soft cookies can be made crispy again simply by placing them in an oven that has been preheated to about 250-300 degrees Fahrenheit. However, one thing that you should certainly keep in mind is the fact that this is not a long-term solution. If your cookies get soft, you are only going to be able to make them crispy once. This is because they would lose some of their flavor and become a little dry when you reheat them.
